Counselor Zhang Yan Speaking on the Belt and Road Initiative at the Brookings Institution

Counselor Zhang Yan of the Chinese Embassy in the United States was invited to make a speech on the Belt and Road Initiative in “Global Master of Finance” Project hosted by the Brookings Institution and Washington University in St. Louis on May 14, 2019. Ms. Zhang briefed her audience on the background, achievements and vision of the Belt and Road Initiative. She also analyzed the fruitful outcomes and international contribution of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Ms. Zhang also answered questions on the opportunities and challenges of the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the cooperation between China and the US under the framework of the Initiative.

Over 70 experts and students from the “Global Master of Finance” Project attended the event.
